ANALYTICAL THINKER - TEAM PLAYER - IT GEEK!We are looking for both a Senior level and Junior level Software Engineer for a large company in the capital region.  Must be a problem solver and analytical thinker.

We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join a growing company. This role will be a contributor to the high-volume transaction processing software that drives the company’s core business. This is a challenging growth position which requires an experienced candidate who works well independently and as part of a larger team effort. The candidate must be a high energy, driven individual with a thirst for knowledge to work with other members of the development team.
Specific Duties:
· Author software design artifacts for new or incremental business functionality
· Perform software implementation activities in support of the Commerce Hub mission and business objectives. Participate in the testing and validation of new software modules to increase overall product quality.
· Work with Quality Assurance to efficiency solve any issues that are discovered prior to production release.
· Provide post production application support, as required. Support responsibilities may include consultation, problem identification, data analysis, and/or emergency repairs.
· Requirements for support entail 24x7 coverage on a rotational basis.
Required Qualifications:
· Author software design artifacts for new or incremental business functionality.

· The ability to communicate software concepts to both technical and non-technical peers.
· Knowledge or experience with the Java Enterprise Edition, and supporting libraries, including JSP, Struts, and JDBC.
· Experience working with SQL Server, or a similar relational database system.
· Experience working with testing frameworks such as JUnit.
· Experience working with Continuous Integration servers such as Hudson/Jenkins.
· Knowledge or experience with the following will be a plus:
o ORM products such as JDO, JPA and Hibernate.
o Open source frameworks such as Spring, Wicket, Grails, etc.
o Ajax-based Javascript programming and libraries, such as jQuery.
o Understanding of High-Availability systems.
o Exposure to software version control toolsets (such as ClearCase, Subversion, Git or Mercurial)
